Sava Technologies (Pty) Ltd (“SAVA”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates in a dynamic financial technology environment where certain risks may impact the continuity of services. We actively manage these risks through our risk management frameworks and maintain a Business Continuity Plan (“BCP”) to support the continued delivery of services in the event of a significant disruption.

The identified key risks that may affect our operations include:

• Operational Disruptions
  Events such as power outages, system downtime, natural disasters, or civil disruptions may impact our ability to operate normally.
• Technology and Cybersecurity Risks
  As a digital financial services provider, SAVA relies on secure technology systems and third-party infrastructure. Cyber threats, system failures, or security breaches may impact service availability or data integrity.
• Third-Party / Vendor Risk
  SAVA relies on key third-party providers (including banking partners, payment processors and cloud infrastructure providers). Disruptions or failures at these providers may affect our ability to deliver services. We mitigate this risk through due diligence, monitoring and contingency planning.
• Key Personnel Risk
  SAVA’s ability to deliver certain services is supported by individuals in key roles with specialised knowledge and responsibilities. Unexpected events affecting these individuals, such as incapacity or other unforeseen circumstances may impact operational continuity in the short term.

SAVA has implemented a business resilience framework, incorporating business continuity and disaster recovery measures, to enhance its ability to respond effectively to disruptions arising from internal failures or external events.

Our BCP is designed to:

• Protect our clients’ personal data, employees and systems;
• Maintain critical business operations; and
• Ensure continued access to funds and services with minimal disruption.

How We Respond to Disruptions

SAVA may transition to remote operations, utilise secure cloud-based systems, activate alternative communication channels and rely on third-party infrastructure where required.

While these measures are designed to minimise disruption and support the continuity of our services, events beyond our control may temporarily impact operations and in certain circumstances, affect service availability.

Access to Funds and Services

We will take all reasonable steps to ensure clients retain access to their funds and services in line with regulatory requirements.

Data Protection and Systems Resilience

SAVA maintains secure, backed-up systems and appropriate cybersecurity controls to protect client information.

Ongoing Review

SAVA has established a business resilience framework, including business continuity and disaster recovery measures. This framework is supported by regular reviews of our business continuity plans, scenario planning and testing.

While these measures are designed to support the continuity of our operations and services, any significant disruption may temporarily impact service delivery and in certain circumstances, affect our operational performance.
